Bowen Technique
What
is the Bowen Technique?
The Bowen Technique is a gentle but effective remedial therapy.
Treatments can be carried out over light clothing and are suitable for people of all ages. There are no known adverse
side effects from this therapy and clients find it a pleasant and relaxing experience.
What is involved in the Bowen Technique?
Treatments are usually performed with the client lying on a
treatment couch, and light clothing can be worn. The practitioner makes gentle rolling movements with their thumbs and
fingers over the muscles, ligaments and soft tissue of the body. Between each set of moves, the therapist leaves the
client for a few minutes to allow the body time to adjust.
