What is Reflexology?
Reflexology, also known as 'Reflex Zone Therapy', is a holistic therapy where the therapist uses a specific pressure
technique applied to the feet, where all the internal body structures, glands and organs are mirrored in miniature.
By pressure on these reflexes, the therapist can treat the whole body.
What is involved in a Reflexology treatment?
At your first appointment, you will be asked questions about your health
and lifestyle so the therapist understands the different factors affecting your health. You will be asked to remove your
shoes and socks and your feet will be wiped over with a refreshing solution. The treatment commences with a relaxation routine,
then the therapist applies gentle pressure to specific points or reflexes all over the foot, concluding with the relaxation
routine.
The number of treatments required varies from person to person, depending on such factors as whether they have a chronic
or acute condition. Some effects are felt after just one treatment, but a series of treatments may be needed. After
a course of treatments is over, the client may choose to come regularly to maintain their health.
